As the cameras start rolling for Park Seo-joon and IU’s highly-anticipated film Dream, the two South Korean actors shared their excitement not just about delivering a delightful film to fans but as well as working with the rest of the cast in the upcoming movie.
Park Seo-joon, for his part, said he is looking forward to working on his journey as Yoon Hong-dae, a soccer player.
“I’m excited for the time I’ll be spending as Hong Dae. I’ll do my best to deliver a great film to viewers,” he said as quoted by South Korean entertainment news site Soompi.
Meanwhile, IU, who will play the role of documentary producer Lee So-min, said she is happy to be working alongside a “warm and welcoming” cast, adding that she’s excited to learn a lot of things from her co-actors.
“As this is my debut in a feature film, I’ll approach the project with both excitement and responsibility. I’m so happy to be working with actors and cast members who are always warm and welcoming and whom I have so much to learn from.”
Other cast members include Kim Hwan-dong, Jeon Hyo-bong, Son Beom-soo, Ace In-seon, Jeon-soo Yang, Hyun-min Yang, and Hong Wan-pyo.
Filmmaker Lee Byung-hun, the same director behind the movie Extreme Job, said he is excited to work on the said project as he has been preparing for it for a long time.
“This is a project I’ve been preparing for a long time, and it means a lot to me. We have an incredible cast of actors, and I’m excited to work with them.”
Dream is set to follow a group of individuals who will try to reach for their goals of making it to an annual soccer event called the Homeless World Cup.
Dream is set to be released in 2021.
