Ever since the start of the nationwide quarantine, actress Mika dela Cruz has been busy raising funds and distributing face shields to the frontliners in her city of Malabon. After more than a month, Mika has extended her support to include other hospitals and medical centers in Metro Manila through the Share the Care fundraising movement which helps create funds for the production of personal protective equipment or PPEs and face shields and masks for frontliners.
In one of her posts, Mika shares, “During this time of crisis, let’s all help and build each other up. This is the best time to show our real values, intentions and continue being our best selves for others at the comfort of our homes. Help us help them and let's [help] all!”
Last May 9, the actress shared on her Instagram account that she is looking for more hospitals in need of PPE donations and asked for leads from her more than two million Instagram followers.
“I need your help comment down below any hospitals u know who are really in need of PPE. we need legit contacts po para masiguro na sa frontliners talaga mapupunta ang mga care items pakisundan nalang po itong format (HOSPITAL - CONTACT PERSON - CONTACT NUMBER - POSITION IN HOSPITAL) salamat po sa tulong ninyo!”
