YG Entertainment has confirmed that BLACKPINK will release new music in June.
Korean news site STARNEWS initially broke the news saying that the Korean girl group has already finished working on their new album and that they will be shooting a new music video this May in preparation for their June comeback.
Following the report, YG Entertainment issued a statement confirming the news.
“BLACKPINK is scheduled to make a June comeback. Once the exact date has been finalized, we will officially share the news with fans first. Thank you," the entertainment company stated.
The girl group's last song was "Kill This Love," which was released in April 2019.
In November 2019, BLACKPINK made history as the first K-Pop group to gain 1 billion views on YouTube with their music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU."
