Actor Alden Richards is the latest celebrity who expressed his intention to join the Philippine Air Force.
During an Instagram Live session Wednesday, April 29, where he answered questions from fans who tuned in, the "Hello, Love, Goodbye" star revealed that he received an invitation to join the Philippine Air Force, the aerial warfare service branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
"Actually, Ma'am, there was an invitation sent for me and I'm really considering to be part of it. I'm just clearing things out with the management," he said.
Alden said that joining the Air Force is, for him, "a way of being part of the people who are really concerned for the country."
"And I want to be part of it," he continued. "Inaayos na po 'yan, Ma'am. Don't worry."
Several celebrities have signed up to be part of the Philippine military as reservists.
Among them are Matteo Guidicelli, Dingdong Dantes, Vilma Santos, Christopher de Leon, Richard and Lucy Torres-Gomez.
