Celebrities have been getting creative these days when it comes to connecting with their fans just like Richard Juan who recently held an online meet and greet with his supporters. According to the Love Thy Woman actor, he usually does meetups with them in the past but due to the lockdown, he had to find ways to still get in touch with them.
"I usually hold several small charitable events with my supporters so that I can interact with them more often when I am free. But due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and of course the quarantine lockdown, I had to think of innovative ways to interact and stay in touch with my supporters who have shown me so much love in the past couple of years," he said.
It was the first time that Richard organized an online fan meet. He shared that there were challenges initially but they later on figured out a way to make the session smoother.
"I thought the Zoom app would be the perfect way to get to know them a little bit more about what’s up with them and also how they’re coping with quarantine life. The limitation though is we were only allowed to have 100 people maximum and many couldn’t get in because we got full. It turned out to be quite chaotic at first as there were a lot of people talking at the same time, but we figured out a way that everyone gets to take turns talking so it becomes a more audible and understandable experience for all of us,” he relayed.
Successful ZOOM party today with the Juanderers fam! So happy that Thai and Indonesian Juanderers were able to join this official ~event~ too!— Richard Juan (@richardjuan) April 11, 2020

The actor-host added, “The struggle in fact was language because I had supporters that are actually Thais and Indonesians. I think they probably had a little trouble when I was speaking in Taglish, which is why I tried my best to speak English more. But overall the experience was extremely fun because I can see and feel their love and I am sure they can feel the same from me too.”
Richard remarked that reaching out to his fans is essential especially that it has been a difficult period for everyone because of the current health crisis.
“For me it is important because my supporters are like my family. To catch up with a family member especially at times like this is what everyone would do. And to see how happy and excited they were even before the Zoom session definitely shows how much they miss seeing me, especially because of this quarantine period. I think it’s also very important to also use the platform right and inspire them to support the country especially in a crisis like this,” he remarked.
