John Lloyd Cruz once again resurfaced on social media, exhibiting a performance art through poetry reading dubbed “Unconfined Cinema.”
On Instagram, the 36-year-old actor shared a black-and-white video of him reading a chilling poem from what appears to be a notebook.
“Isang tula para sa panahon nang pakikidigma para sa katotohanang walang sinuman ang magkakamit. Mamamatay tayong mangmang,” he wrote in the caption.
Prior to posting the said video, John Lloyd teased a photo and tagged two of his friends, Antoinette Jadaone and Bea Alonzo. He previously collaborated with the two for a live script reading of the hit movie “That Thing Called Tadhana” last February.
The photo read: “Over the next week, we will be performing a work of fiction on Instagram. (It is a love story and it is about these times.) Any resemblance to persons, living or dead, is intentional.”
Direk Tonet and Bea likewise shared the same photo on their Instagram pages — hinting at the possibility that they will also be releasing similar videos in the coming days.
Although John Lloyd hasn’t fully returned to showbiz since going on a showbiz hiatus two years ago, he still makes appearances in various platforms, such as product endorsements, and a film cameo.
