Television host Mariel Rodriguez Padilla shared helpful tips on how to properly sanitize grocery items and fresh produce in order to lessen the risk of infection amid the threat posed by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In her latest vlog uploaded Monday, April 6, the It's Showtime host demonstrated how she cleans her groceries at home using only a sanitizer, tissue, and Ziplock bags—a concept she learned from a guideline released by Michigan-based family physician Dr. Jeffrey VanWinger, M.D. on how to ensure that your groceries are safe and sound for consumption.
"I just watched it also and thought I'd shared it with you guys. I hope this video can help in making sure your household is safe, especially the food and packaging you bring into your home," said Mariel.
The 20-minute vlog also featured her husband, action star Robin Padilla, who himself gave tips on how to keep your throat clear by regularly gargling a mixture of apple cider vinegar and rock salt.

In the end, Mariel urged everyone to follow all precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
"We highly encourage to everyone to stay at home, wash your hands, take a shower, avoid cold drinks—wala namang mawawala, 'di ba—and try niyo 'yung mumog para talagang laging malinis lalo na if you go outside," she said.
