Last March 23, an emotional Dua Lipa appeared before her fans on Instagram Live as she revealed that she has decided to move the release date of her latest record  — Future Nostalgia — to a sooner date. That is, after the highly-anticipated second studio album of the English singer leaked online.

The 24-year-old award-winning artist admitted that she was undecided about releasing her new album at first due to the COVID-19 situation around the globe. Then again, she felt that music, among others, could bring joy to humanity right now.

"I've been a little bit conflicted about whether it's the right thing to do during this time because lots of people are suffering," she said.

She added: “I’m not sure if I'm even doing the right thing," she continued, "but I think the thing we need the most at the moment is music, and we need joy and we need to be trying to see the light.”

But the “New Rules” hitmaker need not tell us how powerful her songs are during these trying times as her new album speaks for itself — bringing hope and inspiration at a time when the world is at its most vulnerable while unguardedly baring herself through music.

So if you’re looking for new music to listen to during the enhanced community quarantine, then we recommend you listen to Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia right now.
