With Vico Sotto showing exemplary performance as local chief executive of Pasig City, the entire nation couldn’t help but admire his efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
But Sotto’s mom, actress Coney Reyes, instead of praising the undertakings of Sotto alone, expressed her sincerest gratitude to the people working alongside her son — the frontliners.
Sharing a video which sees her son getting ‘humorous’ after getting disinfected inside what seems to be the premises of the Pasig City Hall, she wrote in the caption: “Someone sent me this short video clip of my son. I thank God for his sense of humor (which I’m sure he got from his Papa) amidst all that we are experiencing as a people ... as a nation.”
The 65-year-old veteran actress then thanked those who continue to extend their help her son’s efforts for the people of Pasig — including those who offer prayers in these trying times.
“Thank you so much to all the men and women who tirelessly work alongside Vico! Bilib ako sa inyo! Maraming Salamat sa walang patid na tulong at suporta! God is your ultimate Rewarder! I would also personally like to thank all the people who continue to pray for Vico and his team,” he said.
Reyes, a devoted Christian, also offered prayers to all Filipinos amid threats of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“God bless us all and keep us in His loving care. God is our Refuge and Strength! Our ever-present help in times of need! Mga kapwa Filipino! Stay strong! Konti nalang ito, di ba Lord,” she wrote, concluding her post.
Coney is known for her portrayal in various successful ABS-CBN teleseryes 100 Days To Heaven, Nathaniel, and My Dear Heart, among others.
