UNICEF Philippines goodwill ambassador Anne Curtis took to social media to extend her gratitude to the frontliners of the COVID-19 crisis.

In an Instagram video she posted, Anne remarked, "I would like to take this opportunity to thank our frontliners and health workers, everybody who's doing their part - the doctors, the nurses, the security guards, the military, and everyone who are doing their parts for the Filipino nation."

The It's Showtime host also shared some tips and measures to protect yourself from the virus. Anne reminded everyone to do proper handwashing and to cover one's mouth when coughing.

In the video, Anne also advised people to stay at home but she stressed that she understands that this is a privilege only for those who have the capacity to do so.

"I do understand that this is a privilege for others especially for those who can work from home, who can stay at home and for those who have enough food to provide for their families. But if you can, only if you can, please do try and stay at home just to avoid your exposure to COVID-19," she stated.

She also highlighted to verify what we post on social media.

"I would say to think before you click and share, just to avoid sharing fake news [and] to avoid panic," she said.

Anne also shared that UNICEF is doing measures to extend help for those who are in need in times like this.

"UNICEF is working with the DOH and WHO to stop the transmission of COVID-19. You can help. Donate now and help keep children and families safe," Anne shared.
