Kristofer Hivju, who played Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO series "Game of Thrones," is the latest celebrity to say he had tested positive for the coronavirus.
In an Instagram post, the Norwegian actor said he is currently in "good health" and only has mild symptoms of a cold.
Kristofer, 41, said he is currently in Norway and is self-isolating at home with his family "for as long as it takes."
"There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1.5 meters distance from others, go into quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading," he said.
"Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy!" he added.
Other celebrities who said they had contracted the disease include Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, and Olga Kurylenko.
Aside from Game of Thrones, Kristofer is best known for playing the role of Connor Rhodes in the 2017 American action film The Fate of the Furious.
