Actress Bea Alonzo was successful in her very first attempt to do nail art.

In her latest entry for her #BeaDoes vlog series, where she tries to do things for the first time, Bea tapped celebrity nail expert Mimi Qiu Reyes to help her learn the process of nail art, which involves drawing or painting different types of patterns on the nails.

"Isa 'to sa mga topics na gusto ko talagang i-tackle sa channel ko kasi alam nila na lagi akong nagpupunta rito," said Bea.

"If you follow me on Instagram, malalaman mo na [Mimi and I] have been good friends for quite some time," she added.

Mimi, who also does the nails of celebrities Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Catriona Gray, and Nadine Lustre, said she started doing nail art in 2008.

"Before, nag-aral ako ng fashion design. So 'yun."

For her first attempt, Bea did the nails of popular TikToker Jukay (@jookstogo), who also happens to be a huge fan of the actress.

According to Bea, she and Jukay met three weeks ago, while she was having her nails done by Mimi.

[That time], nagdala ako ng maraming [milk tea] for Mimi. Then sabi ko [kay Jukay], 'Gusto mo?' Nag-yes naman siya. So nag-milk tea kami together," she said.

"Fan mo 'ko, hindi ako TikToker. Fan mo talaga ako," Jukay, for her part, said.

"Guys, I just want to say na si Bea 'pag pumasok ng pinto, parang may electric fan [effect]. Ang una kong naisip talaga, 'Parang naririnig ko si Basha, pumapasok sa loob ng nail salon,'" she added, referring to Bea's character in the blockbuster film One More Chance.

At one point, Bea's longtime onscreen partner John Lloyd Cruz and his former girlfriend Ellen Adarna were mentioned, as Jukay shared what encouraged her to try nail art.

To which, Bea responded, laughing, "See? Ako 'yung nakasabay mo. 'Di si John Lloyd."
