Sylvia Sanchez is one proud mom as she congratulated her son Arjo Atayde for winning best actor at this year's Asian Academy Creative Awards.
On Instagram, the veteran actress shared Arjo's winning moment and expressed how proud she is of her son.
"Sa lahat ng mga tanong mo, pagdadalawang isip at pangamba, ito ang eksaktong sagot anak!! Ito ang mundo mo. Dito ka nararapat!!!" she said.
"Super, super proud of you, Juan Carlos Campo Atayde!!!" she continued. "Walang kasing sarap ang naging kapalit ng lahat ng hirap, kabiguan at pasakit sa 'yo. Abutin mo ang lahat ng gusto mo at dito lang ako, mga kapatid mo, at Daddy mo na aagapay sa 'yo kasama ng mga dasal ng buong pamilya at ng mga taong may tiwala, nagtiwala at nagmamahal sa 'yo.
"Salamat sa lahat ng mga nagmahal at nagtiwala sa ‘yo. Salamat sa pagiging pag-asa, ligaya at liwanag naming lahat. Kaka-proud ka!!!" she added.
Sylvia went on to describe Arjo's win as "a well-earned merit for a gifted performer."
"You really deserve it, 'nak," she said.
She then told her son to "embrace and own" his win, but at the same time, be humble and always keep his feet on the ground.
"Congratulations to my Asian Academy Creative Awards Best Actor 2020, Arjo Atayde. Love u, 'nak," she ended.
In the comment section of her post, Arjo thanked his mother for her love and support.
"Thank you for riding my stupid ideas, Ma. HAHAHAHAHAH. This is what it gave us. For supporting me all the time and everything else! Don’t want to be too dramatic na. Hahahahaha. I love you so much, Ma.. again that’s for you and dad," he said.
Aside from Sylvia, Arjo's sister Ria and girlfriend Maine Mendoza also congratulated him for his historic win.
Arjo, 30, is the first Filipino to win the Best Actor award from the said award-giving body. He was recognized for his performance in ABS-CBN's Bagman.
