Roxanne Barcelo revealed the latest changes in her life in her Christmas vlog titled “HEAR ME OUT…” posted last December 25, Friday where she gave 12 updates on her personal and professional life.

The 35-year-old former PBB housemate started off by sharing that she wanted to focus on her singing career in 2021.

“One of the things that I also realized during quarantine was gusto ko na kumanta. Sobrang frustrated singer talaga ako and dahil sa Tawag ng Tanghalan na nakapagkanta ako, pero hindi ako naka-create ng songs. So I have decided that this coming 2021 I will really devote my time into music and vlogging,” she said.

Roxanne also revealed that her latest teleserye with Bea Alonzo is not pushing through.

“Hindi na tuloy yung soap opera kung saan ako magkokontrabida na halos isang taon din na we were really looking forward to it. As in sobrang excited ako to be a kontrabida for Ms. Bea Alonzo but due to pandemic reasons and COVID, ayun parang na-push back ng na-push back,” she said.

Without revealing the dates, Roxanne also revealed that not only had she gotten engaged earlier this year, but she had also tied the knot.

“He said he wants to start a family with me. It was such a beautiful moment because he asked twice. He actually asked me a few months after quarantine pero dahil naka-lockdown pa nun, all we knew was that we were going to get married before the year ends. Totoo pala yung when you know, you know. I knew from the start na siya yung para sa akin. I am taken! He is worth the wait,” she said.

During typhoon Ulysses last month, Roxanne shared how her fiancé helped save her mom from being stranded in their flooded community.

“In 2009, na-Ondoy na yung bahay ng parents ko and now na 2020 na-Ulysses naman si Nanay. Bongga as in parang Titanic ulit ang ganap, super rise of the burak. So what we did was pumunta kami sa village kasi lubog pa rin nung umaga tapos sabi nung mga rescuer, ‘Naku hindi namin mapupuntahan yung nanay mo kasi sila yung pinakamalayong bahay. So ang ginawa ko, nakiusap ako. Binigay ko ang buong Bumble profile ni nanay sabi ko, ‘Byuda na po yung nanay ko. Na-stroke na po siya dati. Baka puwede niyo po unahin i-rescue?’” she explained.

When the rescuers came back because her mother refused to be rescued, Roxanne said she was thankful to her fiancé for stepping up and doing the rescue himself.

I’m so happy that my partner is on another level of understanding with my nanay kasi si nanay parang love na love siya. Dun ko nakita na kapag ang partner mo gusto ng parents mo, iba yung flow. Iba yung saya ng buhay,” she added.
