Performing this year as part of Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) Grand Fiesta Manila’s annual Grand Countdown to 2021 virtual concert New Year. New Hope. New Thrills, Jed Madela said he has learned to adjust to the new normal way of performing.
“Honestly, after being on lockdown for months and the mere thought of knowing that the virus is still out there kind of scared me. But I guess we just have to make necessary adjustments and continue to live our lives. Of course, being knowledgeable and following safety health protocols help a lot,” he tells PUSH.
Joining Jed are other talented performers Jona, Morissette, and comedian Jon Santos with special guest acts from the L.O.V.E. Project at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay city.
“I feel honored to have been chosen to do this countdown. Also, I am very excited because of it being the first live onstage performance I will be doing. I remember spearheading the very first digital online concert when the pandemic started and to be the first, again, to do this live performance makes it more exciting,” he shared.
Counting his memories of spending the holidays with his family in Ilo-ilo as his favorite Christmas memories, the 43-year-old Kapamilya singer revealed that he is especially excited to perform at the event because of how close the song choices are to his heart. “I will be doing an entire segment all to myself. I personally chose a mix of well-loved songs everyone can relate to,” he sakd.
