Celebrities condemned a police officer who shot dead a mother and son in Paniqui, Tarlac.
Last Sunday, December 20, an incident ensued between Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuesca and his neighbors named Sonya Gregorio and her son named Frank Anthony Gregorio.
According to Paniqui police chief Lt. Colonel Ronel Rombaoa, Jonel confronted the mother and son after getting annoyed by the noise of an improvised canon made of PVC pipe called “boga.”
In the said video, Jonel’s daughter, a minor, suddenly shouted at the two victims which made the old woman, Sonya, shout back at the former. This prompted Jonel to shoot the mother dead and Anthony next.
But Jonel went on to put another bullet in the mother who was already lying on the before fleeing using a motorcycle.
The murders have drawn outrage on social media, with several celebrities calling to #StopTheKillings in the country.
Among the celebrities who condemned the murders Jonel committed were Maine Mendoza, Janella Salvador, K Brosas, Jed Madela, and Bianca Gonzalez.
Maine, who admitted that she couldn’t take how far the actions of Jonel went, sought justice for the victims.
“Bakit kailangang umabot doon? Sobra yung ginawa niya. Hustisya para sa mag-inang Gregorio,” Maine wrote in her tweet.

Magkakaiba yun. Maraming mabuting ama at pulis. Ibang usapan yung 3rd. Heartbreaking. Sana may oras pa. Napakabrutal,” Alessandra de Rossi wrote.
