Matteo Guidicelli became candid about the wedding he really wanted in an interview with Toni Gonzaga in the latter's recent YouTube vlog.
The actor shared that he actually wanted a military wedding.
He explained, “Actually a military wedding, that's my dream. You know with all my relatives and friends. People who were there with me since day one. That's the wedding I wanted,” he relayed.
When asked by Toni what kind of wedding Sarah wanted for them, Matteo relayed, “Her naman, very private. She really wanted a private, solemn, family and just [with] loved ones wedding.”
Toni then asked the actor why Sarah’s family was not present during their wedding last February.
“Of course that would have completed my wife's dream. In God's time, to be positive, things will heal, things will be better,” he stated briefly.
In five years, does he see himself having dinner with Sarah’s family?
“I imagine that all the time. Not just for me, but obviously primarily for my wife and also my family, my parents. I believe our parents raised us up and worked so hard for us that one day, we could marry a woman or a man, and two families would combine. You know, having drinks together, pasta together. I think that’s our family’s dream. So 'yun. One day, it will happen,” he said.
The actor also shared he wants his parents-in-law to know that he admires Sarah very much and they are happy in their marriage.
“We are extremely happy. Sarah is beautiful. Sarah is amazing. Sarah is independent. She’s happy,” he added.
Matteo was also asked by Toni how he could describe his wedding last February to Sarah.
He shared, “In the end of the day it was a beautiful day of two people synergizing together, coming as one. That is one of the best days of my life. It wasn't perfect but I consider it the best day of my life.”
Matteo and Sarah got married in a secret ceremony last February 20, 2020.
The actor shared that they were supposed to hold another wedding with their friends after their private wedding.
“A week before lockdown, February 20, 2020, we got married, a very small wedding. A week after was supposed to be the wedding with our friends but lockdown happened,” he revealed.
