Xian Lim had an elevator installed in their home for his cancer-stricken grandmother.
The actor shared a clip-on Instagram of his grandmother trying the elevator and said, "This is my lola's reaction after trying our newly built elevator.”
Xian shared that though his grandmother chose a room downstairs, she usually goes up and down the stairs so he decided to set up an elevator for her and the other seniors in their home.
"My grandma chose the room downstairs because she literally has hundreds of cross-stitch collections and she wants it all by her side. She goes up and down the stairs and ayaw magpapigil...even if I had set up her own room upstairs. A few months have passed and I finally decided to acquire this lift and I'm just so amazed with the final product," he relayed.
Xian said that he has felt relieved knowing that the senior members of their family are safer at home.
"I'll post a vlog on the process of setting this whole lift up from ocular, to unboxing, up 'til construction! I can't wait for all you guys to see this..this is truly a happy moment for me. I now have peace of mind knowing that the seniors in my home are safer with this lift," he said.
The actor remarked that the pandemic has taught him so much about how vital it is to spend time with your loved ones.
"Throughout the course of the pandemic (3 month lock down), I got to spend time with @mommymaryanne, my lola and lolo and realized how much family time is of huge importance...sometimes we get too caught up in so much work and we forget what truly matters most," he said.
It was in August when Xian revealed that his grandmother is battling cancer.
