After sharing how happy and grateful she is for all the positive reviews that her movie Four Sisters Before the Wedding has been getting ever since it premiered online earlier this month, Alexa Ilacad said she does not feel that it would have become more successful if theaters were allowed to screen the film.
“I feel very lucky and proud to be part of this project and of course we have very high hopes for this film because everyone gave their everything. Everyone worked so hard to make this film beautiful, to give it as a gift to the people especially nowadays. But I would say we are happy. Of course we would have loved to be shown in the cinemas but we’re happy with everything that’s been given to us right now. Just to have been given this chance to give this movie to the people na mapanuod nila, makita nila yung pinaghirapan namin, we feel lucky enough to be in this position,” she shared.
The 20-year-old actress also shared which scene from the film was her favorite during the course of her shooting with co-stars Charlie Dizon, Belle Mariano, and Gillian Vicencio who play her sisters in the film.
“Of course siyempre yung pinaka-iconic na confrontation scene. Yan ang inuulit ulit kong panuorin para makita yung sagutan ng magkakapatid at makita rin yung pagmamahalan kasi dun na man sa scene na yun nagbati sila, nag-away, andun na lahat. So yun yung iinulit ulit kong panuorin para rin makuha yung essence. Andun yung mga iconic lines na hindi ko makakalimutan na lagi naming sinasabi during our shoot. So that confrontation scene is my choice,” she revealed.
After collaborating on the song “Love You Better” with Thai-Italian singer Valentina Ploy last September, Alexa said she looks forward to more collaborations with foreign artists in the future.
In regards sa aking personal singing career, actually with Valentina Ploy, yes we’re starting to become good friends. Sadly hindi ko pa siya na-mi-meet because she is from Thailand. But I’m very lucky na nagustuhan niya ako to collaborate with her because she’s such a good artist. She writes her own songs and I’m very proud that I was able to release a song in collaboration with her. Hopefully more to come and in the future, I think I will be having more collaborations even with international artists,” she said.
