After joining the special segment of Bawal Judgemental on the noontime show Eat Bulaga, hosts Allan K. and Wally Bayola revealed that they recently tested positive for the COVID-19 virus but have since recovered from the disease. The two comedians were part of the popular segment along with four other civilians.

Wally admitted that he got the disease after becoming too lax when it came to doing the safety protocols advised by the government during the pandemic.

“Parang nakalimutan ko mag-vitamins for one week. parang relax relax lang. Tapos masyado akong naging paniwalain dun sa mga nakikita ko minsan sa social media na wala namang COVID, hindi naman totoong may COVID, ganyan. So parang nadala ako, hindi na ako nag-ma-mask. Parang napagod na ako mag-mask, napagod na ako mag-face shield. Kaya minsan pag pauwi, may magpapa-picture, nagtatanggal pa ako ng mask at face shield, dikit pa talaga. So parang na-relax ako. Hindi ako nag-ingat kasi parang nag naging mentalidad ko wala namang COVID,” he admitted.

The TV host, who had to stay at the hospital for five days, also shared how he first felt when he found out he tested positive. “Sabi ko sa mama ko,  ako mag aalalaga sa ‘yo huwag kang malungkot. Huwag kang iiyak. Biglang ako yung mawawala,” he said.

Wally urged viewers to use his experience as a cautionary tale. “Huwag tayo maging relaxed. ‘Wag natin isipin na wala yan, gawa gawa lang yan. Hindi po. Kasi nangyari sa akin,” he added.

While being interviewed by his co-hosts, Allan K. revealed that he ended up getting rushed to the hospital and having to stay in the Intensive care unit for three days. The usually jolly comedian couldn’t help but turn emotional while recounting his painful experiences this year which include losing two young family members earlier this year and having to close down his multiple businesses because of the pandemic.

“Ano ba ito? Hindi pa tapos iyong taon noh. Tapos sabi ko sige, magpa-ospital na tayo,” he recalled before being brought to the hospital.
