American TV host and comedian Ellen Degeneres revealed on December 10 that she is COVID-19 positive. The 62-year-old long-running talk show host made the announcement on her current health condition on all her social media accounts.
She wrote, “Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive fort COVID-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines. I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe.
Numerous celebrities and former guests from her show immediately posted messages of support and comfort following the message. Production on The Ellen Show will be put on hold until January pending the host’s recovery according to the show’s spokesperson’s statement to US entertainment website Variety.
