Kris Bernal has signed a deal to be a part of talent management agency Cornerstone Entertainment Inc.
The actress made the announcement herself through a social media post on Saturday, November 28.
"Looking for a new manager was one of the longest processes that I had to go through and the toughest decision as well. It wasn’t easy for me because I need someone who has the same vision and goals as mine, someone whom I’ll be comfortable to work with, and someone whom I can trust to provide me with projects," she said.
"I am happy and proud to announce that I am now part of the Cornerstone Entertainment Inc., @cornerstone, family headed by Mr. @visionerickson and Mr. @jeffvadillo. I believe I made the right choice and I am really happy with it," she added.
Cornerstone made a similar announcement on its own page on Friday, November 27.
"All eyes to this beauty! Cornerstone Entertainment warmly welcomes Kris Bernal. We can’t wait to see your exciting journey as an artist with your new found family," it said.
By signing a deal with Cornerstone, Kris now joins the ranks of local celebrities such as Kris Aquino, Catriona Gray, KC Concepcion, Julia Montes, Rachelle Ann Go, and Sam Milby.
It was in September when Kris revealed that she had gone freelance after more than 13 years as a contract artist of GMA Artist Center.
In a vlog, Kris denied having issues with her mother network.
"I have no disagreement or issues with my home network and I never had. I think I’ve been really cooperative and really professional with all my dealings with them," added Kris.
On the possibility that she will switch networks, Kris admitted that she's still unsure whether she is willing to leave GMA-7, but added that she is not closing her doors.
"I'm just really praying to God where he will lead me. I trust his plans and I leave my options open,” she said.
