BLACKPINK’s Lisa Manoban surprised her Filipino fans when she spoke Tagalog in a video released on Wednesday, November 25.
Local clothing brand Penshoppe featured K-pop star Lisa speaking Tagalog in a fun video released in time for the holidays.
“Hey, Bes! I have some chika,” Lisa said.
Lisa invited her fans to watch out for the full video which will be released at 4 PM on Sunday, November 29.
“Hi, guys! This is Lisa from BLACKPINK and I’m so happy to be here. Stay tuned,” she said.
At the end of the video, Lisa blurted out one of the most popular Filipino phrases said when people want to indulge in other people’s pleasure: “Sana all!”

Lisa joined the roster of Penshoppe’s international endorsers — which includes Kendall Jenner, Sandara Park, Zayn Malik, and Gigi Hadid — last year.
Lisa — who is of Thai descent — auditioned to become a trainee under YG Entertainment in 2010. She is the first non-Korean trainee of the said agency. She debuted as part of the K-Pop group BLACKPINK in 2016. Other members of BLACKPINK are Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé.
Blackpink has released songs such as “How You Like That,” “Kill This Love,” and “DDU, DDU, DU.”
