As one of the country’s most in demand celebrities, pandemic or no pandemic, Kim Chiu had been able to keep herself productive with her soap Love Thy Woman earlier this year; releasing her successful single “Bawal Lumabas;” starring in the digital horror film U-Turn; and preparing for a Bawal Lumabas digital series as well as a fundraising concert to help raise funds for typhoon Ulysses victims in December.
With so many things happening in her career, Kim said she would be happy to have a very low key and simple celebration during the holidays next month. “Magtayo lang ng Christmas tree yun na yun (laughs). At least meron tayong Christmas spirit. Kasi meron pa ring COVID eh, delikado pa rin when we go outside. So wala talaga and most important talaga is really family with you, sa kainan. And lagay ka lang ng Christmas tree, maliit o malaki, as long as may christmas tree diyan sa side alam mo Pasko na,” she shared during the Tiger Crackers Kitchen Snack Hacks event launch last November 14.
After preparing different recipes during the event, Kim said she now has more recipes to add to her family’s Christmas and New Year meals. “Itong quarantine, marami akong natutunan lutuin. So siguro sa Pasko iisa isahin ko sila. I don’t really cook. Ngayon lang. So sana ma-push akong magluto. So isa na dun nachos, gumawa ako ng macaroni salad na pinaliguan ko ng condensed (milk), ang sarap. Tapos gumawa ako ng pizza, gumawa ako ng kimchi pancake. Ang dami kong ginawa. Yun yung handa namin. Yan yung i-pe-prepare ko sa family ko,” she shared.
