As a new parent, Phil shared his thoughts on fatherhood with his five-month-old son Philip. On his Instagram account, he wrote, “Enjoying every second of being a husband and a father. Even with less sleep, being with our beautiful son gives us more energy

Philip is so curious and intrigued by everything around him. He always wants to be in a position where he can see what’s going on, he doesn’t want to miss a thing  🏻

Family and friends all say, they know where he got that from... ”

In an earlier post, Phil was open about how much he is enjoying life with the arrival of his son with whom he shares the same name. He wrote, “Every day is a little more exciting, a little more happy, a little more joyful because you are in the world. We can’t put into words how you make us feel every second of the day.”

Phil, along with his brother James and younger sister Keri, are now based in Kent, England. After playing international football for the past 13 years, Phil and James (who also announced his retirement from the sport earlier this year) were former reserve players for the English Premier League team Chelsea before joining the Philippine Azkals in 2006 where they contributed in the rising popularity of the sport in the country.
