Broadway star Lea Salonga was shocked after finding out that there are errors in the modules of the Department of Education (DepEd).
On her Facebook page, Lea expressed her frustration over the said mistakes.
One of the errors she pointed out in the module was the photo of an owl being labeled as an ostrich.
"For the love of....... there aren’t enough curse words in my vocabulary for this s***!!! THAT IS AN OWL, YOU IDIOTS!!!" she exclaimed.
She also pointed out an erroneous statement in the module which says "L is for rabbit."
"This might be never-ending. Excuse me, I need to gouge out my eyes. QUE HORROR!!!" she remarked.
She was also appalled by a test in the module wherein students are asked to match the crayons to its correct name only to see that the crayons are not colored.
"Okay for those of you that don’t understand Filipino, that means, 'Match each crayon to its correct name. A is violet, B is blue, C is green, D is red, and E is yellow.' HOW, HA? HOW? TELL ME, HOOOOOOOOW???" she said.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, printed modules have been distributed by DepEd this year as an alternative learning delivery mode since most students don't have gadgets or good internet connections.
Public schools were reopened on October 5.
