Elisse Joson describes ‘Beauty and the Boss’ as a Pinoy version of a K-drama

In her first acting project after the lockdown, Elisse Joson said she had an enjoyable experience doing a 12-day lock-in taping for her new iFlix original series Beauty and The Boss where she plays the role of Stella, a simple girl who catches the eye of her new boss (played by Gino Roque IV).“Shooting this series was a lot of fun and we enjoyed it so much. It was so happy vibes lang. It was a fun set. So pag pinanuod niyo din ito I expect that you guys would feel the same thing. You guys are going to forget your problems, what’s happening right now. Kasi kung mahilig kayo sa K-drama siyempre we have our Pinoy version and siyempre gawang Pinoy. So, this is really exciting,” she shared during the Beauty and The Boss online presscon last October 29. Although she could not divulge details of the show which will become available for streaming starting on November 6, Elisse said that viewers can learn a life lesson from her role as the beautiful and independent Stella.“Hindi ko alam kung masasabi ko na ngayon pero siguro what I can share is, because yung character ni Stella she has a dilemma of choosing love over her dreams so depending on the type of person you are, I feel like, based on how Stella managed to overcome that dilemma sa series na ito, dun merong parang lesson na puwedeng pulutin yung manunuod,” she said.<a href='https://push.abs-cbn.com/2020/10/13/fresh-scoops/elisse-joson-gino-roque-to-topbill-new-series-188880'>READ: Elisse Joson, Gino Roque to topbill new series</a>After working for the first time with fellow Pinoy Big Brother alumni Gino Roque IV and directors James Mayo, Elisse said what made the whole experience even more memorable was the times they shared off camera while doing lock-in shooting.“Ang na-appreciate ko lalao yung mga in between takes, kapag naghihintay ng camera set-up kasi nga naging kumportable na sa isa’t isa so magkakaroon kami ng time na may kuwentuhan tapos magtatawanan lang kami. Super random little things lang pero nakakatuwa kasi nga dun mo makikita na kumportable kami sa isa’t isa. Happy set lang,” she shared.Elisse was last seen in an episode of iWant’s original anthology series Ampalaya Chronicles last January. She also starred in <a href='https://ent.abs-cbn.com/sandugo'>Sandugo</a> with Aljur Abrenica and Ejay Falcon last March. Her six-episode iFlix series Beauty and The Boss streams online starting November 6, Friday.
