With the upcoming release of her first digital horror film Sitsit on October 31, Ivana Alawi said she is not thinking of gaining a title like “Horror Princess” in the future. “Hindi ko gusto ng title. Basta gusto ko magpasaya ng tao, yun lang yun,” she said.
The new Dreamscape Entertainment and iWant Original movie project is a twin-bill movie with Ivana starring in the episode Aswang and Jake Cuenca leading the other episode Scorpio.
Ivana said she enjoyed working with her director Erin Pascual and producer Paulo Avelino who was also present on the set during their shooting which ended even before the pandemic started earlier this year. “This one kasi it wasn’t really hard kasi si direk Erin Pascual he was really easy to work with and nakaktutok siya and he helps me, kunwari may scene ako na nahihirapan ako. Pati si Paulo (Avelino) so they helped internalize. Minsan na-se-stress ako kasi yung scenes were outdoor. Sobrang sexy ng suot ko. Yung mga lalake nakatingin. Sabi ko hindi ako makapag-eksena, hindi ako makaiyak kasi parang yung brain ko nandito so they would always help me out,” she explained.
During the virtual press con for Sitsit, Ivana initially got shy after admitting that she didn’t expect to work with one of her showbiz crushes, even if they did not act together in front of the camera. “Si Paulo tahimik, sobrang tahimik. Ano kasi nung nagka-eksena kami na-pressure ako kasi dati crush ko si Paulo. Nung nakita ko siya sobrang tahimik at dun lang siya sa isang puwesto. Pero very caring kasi lagi siyang nag-che-check in, kumusta, may something ba, may problema ba, so na-appreciate ko naman yun,” she revealed.
