Have you ever wondered how it feels like to marry your first true love? KZ Tandingan would know!
Celebrity couple KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde recently tied the knot and we are here for it!
Let’s take a moment to appreciate and look back at their relationship.
KZ and TJ met through their common friends, Martin Nievera and “X Factor” finalist Kedevon. Coming from the same industry, which is music, it wasn’t surprising that they clicked and became good friends. Two years into their friendship and TJ began courting KZ.
Fast forward to another year, in January 2015, the two became official. TJ is KZ’s first-ever boyfriend.
Although KZ isn’t TJ’s first girlfriend, the latter revealed in a 2016 Gandang Gabi Vice interview that he was hoping she would be the last.
Theirs is what one could call a healthy relationship as they’ve always been supportive of each other.
In 2018, KZ became a contender in China’s reality singing competition Singer 2018.
TJ was with her throughout, expressing his support for his girlfriend.
At the time, during a Tonight with Boy Abunda guesting, KZ was asked by Boy Abunda how she’d react if TJ proposed amid the competition. KZ then admitted that she’d say yes.
Fast forward to December 2019, TJ finally popped the highly-anticipated question and the couple finally got engaged.
In a January 2020 episode of Magandang Buhay, the couple asked Martin Nievera on the spot if he’d be willing to be their godfather. Martin, for his part, said he would be honored.
Later in February, the couple shared photos of their pre-nuptial shoot done by Oak St. Studios in Tokyo, Japan. They chose to have a low key pictorial in a picturesque town amidst the backdrop of beautiful Mt. Fuji.
When asked for a wedding date in an interview with PUSH in March, KZ said it may happen this year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic happened, which is why their church wedding plans had been pushed back to next year.
But to the surprise of many, the two pushed through with their wedding this year and finally tied the knot last September 28. The couple revealed the news through their latest music video, which was released on KZ’s YouTube channel last October 8.They held an intimate wedding ceremony at The Farm at San Benito in Lipa, Batangas. KZ and TJ also assured that they complied with all the strict COVID-19 guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety.
On her Instagram account, KZ wrote, “God finally made our “Puhon” a reality."
She also revealed that only a handful of people and their families participated in the ceremony through Zoom.
