“It has been a challenging year for Miss Universe Philippines. I’m pretty sure it’s not just us. A lot of people had to change their plans for the year because of the pandemic. We are so lucky and blessed that even though, kumbaga, we had to face the most challenging times in MUP we were still able to push through with pageant,” tugon ng Miss Universe Philippines National Director sa panayam ni Dyan Castillejo.

“We are very grateful to Baguio City, of course, the Baguio Country Club for allowing us to hold our pageant here. So yup, logistics wise, I’m pretty sure that everybody, of course all our candidates, were coming from different provinces so we had to fly all of them to Manila first where they had to undergo a mandatory PCR test to make sure that they all are negative. That’s the time that we were able to transport them here in Baguio City where they also had to undergo another test here in Baguio,” paliwanag ni Shamcey.

“And every five days we have to test them again. So that’s how stringent our health protocols are. Of course, our, top priority pa rin would be the health of everybody who is part of Miss Universe Philippines.”

“We had to limit the number of people that will be coming inside the bubble. So the more people kasi, the harder it is to limit the interaction with each other. So we had to really cut down on people. Only those who are essential to produce the show. And ini-staggered namin yung dating nila. Like if ngayon ka kailangan so ngayon ka lang.  After your part, you are going to be pulled out and another batch will come in. So I think we have maybe a hundred,” pahayag pa niya.
