Television host Gretchen Ho announced the latest recipient of her "Donate a Bike, Save a Job" campaign, which aims to help those who lost their jobs amid the pandemic find other means to earn a living.

On Sunday, October 18, Gretchen donated a bicycle to "Tatay Bong," a streetsweeper living with his three kids in a cramped house without water and power supply in Cubao in Quezon City.

#DonateABikeSaveAJob @womaninactionph Photography by @aubreylavern

Gretchen said the streetsweeper plans to use his new bicycle to sell fishballs.

Aside from the bike, "Tatay Bong" and his children also received groceries, solar lights, an electric fan, and a gas stove, which Gretchen said were donated by netizens.

It was back in June when Gretchen first donated bicycles to workers, following a YouTube vlog where she experienced first-hand their plight with the limited transportation services.

In the video, the former athlete decided to find out whether it's safe to ride a bicycle around the city by riding a bike from Katipunan to Taguig, and then back to Quezon City, which took her a total of three hours.

Her first beneficiary was 18-year-old Kean Arcilla Ramos from Muntinlupa, who went viral after he was photographed delivering coffee-based beverages using a pair of rollerblades.
