“I was proud of myself because, for the first time, I stood up for myself. For the first time, I defended myself. And for the first time, I protected myself,” pahayag ng aktres.

Dugtong niya, “It’s the first time I actually put an action, to do that for myself. And like I always say, as much as it’s important to protect your loved ones, it’s also important to protect yourself.

“Right now, they’re all under investigation. So what I’m waiting for is a feedback from NBI, and then we can go ahead with our case,” tugon niya.

“I am okay. Like I always say and I always answer, ang daming nakapaligid sa akin na pamilya‘t mga kaibigan na todo talaga ang alalay sa akin sa kahit ano pang dumating sa life ko,” sambit niya.

“I’m okay because I think I just become much braver and wiser. I have a very good support system also, saka lalo na kapag fake news, di ba? Marami na akong pinalagpas na mga false information about me, na usually dinededma ko lang.

“Pero, siguro, I just felt like it was about time to make an action, to try to stop it. And siguro, kasi ako, as a normal na tao, mahilig din akong makibalita sa mga current events. Sumusunod ako sa mga current na nangyayari, lalo na sa bansa natin, sa ibang bansa, about the pandemic, whatever.

“And it really bothers me every time I stumble upon fake news or false information or kapag napapabalita ang mga bagay na wala naman kumpirmasyon, walang katotohanan? Di ba, parang everything we want to read, gusto natin as much as possible yung totoo,” tuluy-tuloy pa niyang pahayag.

“So, parang, more than... it’s not just for me. I think it’s also for everybody na, you know, just to protect ourselves. Napakabastos.

“At saka yung mga ganoong bagay, if you are to confirm something like that, it’s not supposed to come from you. It’s always supposed to come from the people who are involved. Somebody close to me, from a family member, from a friend.

“Yung gumawa naman po ng article, wala rin naman pong effort ng time na ‘yon to really get in contact with me and ask for the truth. Walang ganoon, eh. He just confirmed it with no basis.

“And I think, I had just enough and I’m putting my foot down and showing people that enough is enough! I can’t tolerate fake news anymore especially involving me or my family and anyone close to me,” giit ni Julia.
