Despite going through a tough time this year, Arjo Atayde admits he still has so much to be thankful — especially after winning an award at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for his role in the iWant original series “Bagman.”
On Instagram, the 29-year-old actor said he considers his win for Best Actor in a Leading Role, in the Dreamscape Entertainment and Rein Entertainment co-produced show, a sign of more great things are coming for him.
“Considering everything that has gone on this year, I was honestly close to giving up this craft I’m passionate about. But I’m taking this as a sign that things happen for a reason and what’s meant to be will be. This recognition is mine as much as it is of all the people who made this possible,” he wrote.
Thanking the people behind the project, he added: “Sir Deo @montie08 thank you so much for the undying guidance and patience. To the @dreamscapeph family, thank you for always giving me all these amazing characters, I sincerely appreciate all the opportunities you have given me.”
He went on: “To my @reinentertainment family, thank you for thinking of me for this role and beyond that, for the friendship and the laughter despite how stressful things would be at times. And ultimately, to my friend and my director @shugopraico, this is your vision, I hopped in on it and it gave us this! Maraming maraming salamat sayo... sa inyo.”

He also expressed his gratitude to the Asian Creative Awards, saying he feels honored for the recognition.
“To the Asian Academy Creative Awards @asianacademycreativeawards thank you so much for this recognition. It is truly such an honor and I am beyond grateful... This means so much more to me than you I probably let one,” he stated.
Arjo then ended his post with an invitation to support “Bagman” — including its newest season — which currently streams on iWant.
“To all those who have not seen Bagman, guys, it’s not too late to learn about reality today. Bagman and Bagman New Season on @iwanttfc! Stay safe, everyone,” he stated.
