For weeks, viewers across the globe — including Filipinos — have been hooked on the hit Netflix series Emily in Paris. In fact, it got a lot of people wanting to go to the City of Love after watching the show. And now, a Paris-based Pinay is making a lot of netizens feel envious after sharing photos from her visit to some of the filming locations of the show on social media.

Leona, in the photos currently making rounds online, can be seen posing at some of the filming locations of the show — including the place where Emily (played by actress Lily Collins) stayed.

According to the Philippine Star, Leona is a nurse by profession in the Philippines who migrated to Paris with her family in 2018.

“Nirefer lang ng friend namin ‘yung [series]. Sabi niya marami na daw nanunuod sa Pilipinas and ayun po pinanuod namin, nakatira po kami sa center ng Paris which is [a] 15-minute walk from Emily’s apartment [in the show],” she said.

Admitting that she can relate to the character of Emily, she told Philippine Star: “Tulad ng sa language barrier like in a simple saying ‘Bonjour’ in a perfect tone po kasi iba ‘yung letter R nila. Everyday na a-amaze pa rin po sa beauty ng Paris where every Rue has history.”
