After performing in his first ever digital concert last Sunday, October 11, Daniel Padilla proved no matter the platform, he still has the talent and charisma to give his fans a moving performance. The 25-year-old actor provided music that can be a source of not just entertainment but comfort especially in times of a pandemic.
I’m doing this for them. So I really appreciate yung mga taong bumili to see the concert. So kung marami man, kung konti man, ang experience na makukuha nila sa akin is the same. Ang ibibigay ko na performance sa kanila is the same. Hindi magbabago,” he said.
True to his minimalistic theme of doing away with the usual decor that goes with most of his major concerts, the cozy, intimate vibe of his performances was complemented with a simple and non-distracting set. “Gusto ko lang ma-feel nila is at home yung dating nung show. Para kaming nag-re-rehearsal lang sa bahay. Ganun ang dating. Hindi masyadong engrande. Very laidback.
Choosing to perform a repertoire that appeals to music lovers of all ages, DJ owes his personally chosen concert playlist to both of his parents Karla Estrada and Rommel Padilla.
Daniel sang 80s and 90s hits during his concert such as "Head Over Heels," "I Melt With You," "Come As You Are," "Mr.Brightside," "One," and iconic OPM songs such as "Balisong," "Abot Kamay," and "Kailan." He also sang his own rendition of "Moon River" and his hit with Moira dela Torre "Mabagal."
