With everyone eagerly awaiting the October 30 online release of her latest horror film U-Turn, Kim Chiu did not realize that she gave her fans an early Halloween scare when she posted a photo of herself resting in an old house which was used as the set for the film. Her older sister Lakambini informed her that a psychic pointed out an unseen element in her shot.

Sinabi nung psychic binilugan niya meron daw tikbalang. May mata, may ilong. May face, may mata.

Kim said that they first started shooting U-Turn even before the pandemic started and she had to get back into character upon resuming shooting later this year. “Na-shoot namin bago mag-pandemic last year. So lumipat lang. At least na-adjust ko. Hindi naman ako na-culture shock,” she explained.

Unlike her previous horror films The Healing and Ghost Bride, Kim reveals that U-Turn is her scariest project to date. Ito yung very now. We always encounter this kind of incident,” she shared.

The Kapamilya actress also shared how challenging both physically and emotionally her scenes were in the film. Meron man pero sobrang layo. So bawal ako gumalaw. Marami akong first dito actually. First ko nakatrabaho sila direk, sila Tony (Labrusca), sila JM (De Guzman). Maraming actually first and first din ito na magiging digital movie so parang first of everything,” she said.
