Singer Moira Dela Torre took to social media on Wednesday to express her gratitude to Carlos Buendia, Jr. for helping her overcome her stage fright in time for her "Braver" concert last Friday.

An architect and artistic director of the University of Sto. Tomas, Buendia is known to many as one of the coaches and cultural consultant of Catriona Gray in the Miss Universe pageant where she had successfully bagged the crown last year. He's also popular for inventing the Filipina-Australian beauty queen's Vogue-worthy "lava walk" that earned praises from American supermodels including Tyra Banks and Ashley Graham.

On Instagram, Moira shared that part of her preparations for her first-ever solo concert was attending Buendia's workshop in order to overcome her stage fright before stepping on stage.

This isn't known to many, but one of the many things I knew I had to slowly overcome before stepping on that stage--- was my stage fright. The fear of being bullied for how I spoke and 'lack of energy' unknowingly paralyzed me to move and maximize my emotions and my stage. So a few months ago, I started attending kuya @carlosbuendiajr's workshop. It took so much unlearning and relearning and though I still have a long way to go, found myself a better storyteller than I have ever been. What surprised me during our classes was that he didn't try and tell me what to do, neither did he try to change me but instead showed me what he saw behind the fears and the insecurities. He was so generous in pointing out my strengths and not once did he focus on my weaknesses. Only when I overcame them did he show them to me to point out the progress we made. He made sure that I reacted naturally to what I felt and what I wrote, taking me back to where my heart was when I wrote my songs instead of just choreographing me. Kuya Caloy, you are my gamechanger this season. Thank you so much for believing in me. For letting God use you to destroy the lies in my head and helping me bring out my best-- snappy movements, strong eyes and all:)) You have become family to me and you are definitely one of the reasons I felt so brave that night. I can't wait to learn more from you, kuya Caloy! I love you!!!
