Young JV, wants to help OPM through new music label

Musician-turned-actor Young JV revealed that he is working now as a producer for his own music label in cooperation with ABS-CBN. "Ngayon po may music label ako with ABS, ako po yung producer nito, it's called 'Not So Famous' 'yung label na to. Ang ginagawa po namin nagko-cross over kami ng artists dito sa Pilipinas to Asia po, like Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Korea .. pag Pilipinas yung music tayo-tayo lang (nakakarelate), OPM. Naga-abroad, nagsi-singing contest para magkaroon ng way, na gusto nating maging international," he shared at the Fasclean presscon last Monday, September 16. "Wala pa po tayong platform dito sa bansa natin na pwede mag-crossover, I think ang gumagawa pa lang dito sa bansa si Inigo Pascual, KZ (Tandingan) pero mga sikat na sila. So yung ginagawa po namin ngayon, itong 'Not So Famous,' yung music label na binubuo ko sana ay mag-bridge ng gap ng artists natin sa bansa to Asia," he further explained. He also added that he wants to help the music industry of the country grow. "Makakatulong din tayo sa music industry dito, na posible pala ng collab with a Korean artist, posible sa ibang countries." Although he didn't divulge any details, JV hinted that their first project will be with a local singer and a popular Indonesian artist. On the other hand, JV wasn't able to dodge questions regarding his best friend, Gerald Anderson, who was recently embroiled in a controversial breakup with actress Bea Alonzo. "Gerald po is in a better place sa buhay niya. Sabi ko sa kanya, alam mo sinisiraan ka man, binubully ka man, (dapat) always positive thinking. Busy siya ngayon sa sa MBPL niya, sa teleserye niya. Kahit broken down, he will always find a way to pass it out. Sa akin lang, always know both sides of people (involved). I both wish them the best. Kahit sa other party, wala po akong hatred. So payo ko lang sa cyberbullying, alam niyo naman po sa social media, madugo, masakit magsalita minsan, kaya sabi ko know both sides," he remarked. Meanwhile, as an endorser for Fasclean, JV knows it maybe odd for a young man like him to represent a product for doing laundry. However, he admitted he has experience when it comes to doing household chores. "Growing up, 'yung tatay ko po kasi Colonel, retired Colonel Red Kapunan. Tinuruan niya akong mabuhay on my own by doing chores - maglinis ng kotse, magdilig ng halaman, at paglalaba, manually po ito, hindi sa washing machine. Excited ako kasi matagal na akong 'di nakapaglaba and sabi ko nagrerewind sa utak ko 'yun ginagawa ko nung mas bata ako," he shared.
