After being crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 last Sunday, September 15, Michelle Dee is now preparing to represent the country in the Miss World pageant in London in December. As the daughter of 1979 Miss International title holder Melanie Marquez, Michelle shared that her mom was one of her mentors upon joining the pageant. Last September 17, the 24-year-old beauty queen posted on her Instagram account a message of gratitude to all those who contributed to her win.
“A new chapter begins:
I've just reached a major milestone in my life and all I can really say is Thank You. Thank you to everyone who's believed in me since the beginning. I don't think I'll ever be the perfect queen but I promise to try my best and to continue to do so everyday throughout my reign. I hope I make you all proud and I hope you all enjoyed the show last night too. HERE WE GO!!!! #21forDeeWorld 🇵🇭
…Lastly, thank you to the 39 girls that I shared the stage with last night. Getting to know a lot of you on a deeper level means so much to me. You guys have taught me so much throughout this journey and I really can't thank you all enough.”
