G! movie actor Mark Oblea hopes to get the chance to work with talented actress Yen Santos
After getting his first big break on the big screen this year in the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino entry G!, Mark Oblea admitted he enjoyed the whole experience with celebrity friends. “First time ko to work with McCoy (de Leon) and Paulo (Angeles), third time with Jameson (Blake). Nung first day ng shooting kapaan, pero actually kulitin agad. Siyempre sinabi sa amin ni direk na close talaga kami dito kasi childhood friends kami. Alam mo kung gaano ka-close yung mga lalake eh, open kami. Kahit magtabi sa kama, magyakapan, ganun ka-close. Sobra,” he recalled.
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter said he has always enjoyed watching movies that celebrate friendship. “The Hangover, American Pie, yung mga ganung kalokohan talaga. Tuwang tuwa ako kasi ang galing nila eh. Sobrang organic nila dun lalo na sila Zac Efron. Napapakita nila na puwede silang seryosohan, puwede silang nakakatawa. Yan yung gusto ko mangyari eh,” he said.
Mark also celebrated his third year anniversary with Cornerstone who has been managing his career after he joined Boyband Philippines. “Ang bilis ng panahon hindi ko napansin. Tapos ngayon may hinihintay tayong mga teleserye. Tuloy pa rin naman ako. Gusto ko pa gumawa ng film,” he shared.
Before joining showbiz, Mark said he took on a variety of jobs in order to help support his family. “Naku nag-ramp model ako tapos nag-street dance din ako. Inter-barangay high school days dahil na-hook up tayo sa mga Jabbawokeez nun at napasok tayo sa mundo ng pagsasayaw. Nasubukan ko lahat. Na-trip ko kasi yung natural high pag nagpalakpakan sila, iba yung feeling as a performer ng ganun, priceless,” he said.
Currently single, Mark revealed he has a crush on Halik actress Yen Santos. “Ewan ko na-fi-Filipina-han beauty ako. May nunal siya. At saka sobrang simple eh. Hindi siya ma-makeup na tao. Mas bagay sa kanya walang makeup. Nakita ko na siya sa Christmas station ID last year. Ang daming artists eh. Nakaka-intimidate eh (laughs) medyo,” he added.
