N.Flying teased their fans with a cover of Eraserheads’ “Ang Huling El Bimbo” which they will be performing at their show today, September 1.
Before their highly-anticipated major solo show in Manila, PUSH got the opportunity to do an exclusive interview with South Korean rap-rock band N.Flying.
With the boys having so much love for their Pinoy fans, we asked them if they are open to working with an OPM artist in the future. To which Kim Jae-hyun instantly responded: "It's more than welcome."
As it turns out, the boys already have an artist in mind: legendary OPM band Eraserheads. But the most exciting part? N.Flying is doing a cover of one of the group's all-time hits, "Ang Huling El Bimbo."
“We recently had a cover of an Eraserheads song,” Lee Seung-hyub said. “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” Kim Jae-hyun added.
“The lyrics was so touching. The impression is very big,” Cha Hoon stated.
Asked why they decided to include an OPM song, the boys explained that it came as a result of a poll that they did via South Korean streaming service V Live.
Surprisingly, Eraserheads' "Ang Huling El Bimbo" emerged with the most number of votes. Watch the teaser of the song below:
MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE
Having visited the Philippines back in 2017 for the K-Pop Republic 2 show, N.Flying recalled the most memorable experience they've had during their last visit to the country.
“They was a vote among Filipino N.Fias. The song was voted by the Filipino N.Fias and it was through the live show that they are doing,” Cha Hoon said.
“Actually, it was from the V. Live that they did. They did a poll. They asked on V Live ‘which song do you want to hear from us?’,” a representative of the group said. “They asked through the channel when they had the Live. And they got the most comments from the fans on this song. So they have decided to do that one,” Hwe-seung added.
MESSAGE TO PINOY FANS
Of course, N.Flying couldn't be more thankful to all the N.Fias whose undying support has been evident since day one.
“This is our second visit to Manila. But this is the first solo concert of N.Flying. We hope you expect a lot because we prepared a lot. We hope you enjoy,” Hwe-seung said.
N.Flying, which debuted back in 2013, is the group behind the songs "Rooftop," "Hot Potato," "The Real," and "Spring Memories."
Composed of members Cha Hoon, Lee Seung-hyub, Yoo Hwe-seung, and Kim Jae-hyun, the band marks their second visit to Manila.
Produced by Three Angles Production, N.Flying's Up All Night in Manila is happening today, September 1, at the New Frontier Theatre.
