Pia Wurtzbach noticed the negativity surrounded in Miss Universe’s Instagram page.
Pia Wurtzbach felt the need to speak up after noticing that the Miss Universe Instagram page had already been surrounded with negative comments making it “toxic.”
Pia once handled the Instagram page of the said pageant after winning Miss Universe in 2015.
The page then posted her uplifting message on their page and while flattered, Pia also gave an additional tip to the page.
"Hi! Aside from posting pictures, positive messages, [and] updates about Cat, why not take time to scroll through the comments also and block the ones that are spreading hate on this page," she said.
“Miss Universe celebrates unity in diversity. Miss Universe uplifts, empowers, and inspires. I think the IG account (and comments that everyone can see) should reflect that also. Not sure if they're aware, but it's become quite toxic here already,” she added.
“That's not what MU is about. No more bullying and spreading hate on this page, please,” Pia added.
There have been a lot of negative comments about the current Miss Universe Catriona Gray, who is also from the Philippines. Recently, she has also been criticized for her weight.
