Early findings of the investigation held by the Department of Labor and Employment on the death of Eddie Garcia has revealed that GMA-7 fell short in complying with its safety requirement, chief Silvestre Bello III confirmed Wednesday.

In an interview with the press, Bello said that the network’s lack of compliance to have a safety officer overseeing every activity resulted to the accident and later passing of the veteran actor.

Sharing the findings of the Occupational Safety and Health Center, which he tasked to execute the probe, he told reporters, “There was lack of compliance with the requirement that in every activity there should be a safety officer… They didn’t have one. Otherwise, Eddie Garcia would not have died.”
