Fans will be seeing a different version of Bela Padilla in her much-awaited appearance on the Filipino adaptation of Korean drama Miracle in Cell No. 7.
The actress, who has since replaced Nadine Lustre as its new lead, revealed recently that she will change her looks for the movie, which is scheduled for a release in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
"Hindi pa po ako nag-first day. Pinapatapos po muna nila sa akin ang Sino Ang May Sala kasi I wanna change my look. One year na din na ganito ang itsura ng buhok ko, so I wanna look different for this movie. Siyempre special 'to kasi it's my first time working with Sir Aga Muhlach," she told ABS-CBN News during the VIVA Convention held at the World Trade Center in Manila over the weekend.
Bela said she hopes to make Miracle in Cell No. 7 her own, much like actresses Sarah Geronimo and Nova Villa in the Filipino adaptation of another Korean film, Miss Granny.
"Sobrang daming beses ko na din po napanood 'yung Korean version and fan ako ni Park Shin Hye,” she added, referring to the Korean actress who played as leading lady in its original version.
Of working with Aga for the first time, Bela said she’s very thrilled as she has long been a fan of the actor’s work.
"Exciting. Pinapanood ko siya, kahit 'yung ibang eksena na siya pa lang, pinapanood ko siya kasi gusto ko siya makita, kumbaga what would I work with or deal with this new project," she said.
