Frankie Pangilinan, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, is about to attend classes as a freshman in The New School, a university in New York, where she has chosen to pursue college.
And her sister, KC Concepcion, could not be any more thrilled. On Wednesday, the singer-actress took to Instagram to express her “overflowing excitement” for her younger sibling as she enters a new chapter in her life.
“My sister is off to college and I’m overflowing with excitement for her!” wrote KC, who revealed that she has been “silently” pursuing professional studies in Gemology in the Big Apple as well, while “jetting back and forth” for work commitments in the Philippines.
She went on: “That means, if we have PARIS, we will also always have NEW YORK!
“Thankful that we have opportunities to learn both in our home country and abroad -- this is a new chapter for you Frankie and a fresh season for us as a fam. I love you and have sooo much faith and hope for you! I can’t believe it’s your turn to do this now! I hope you enjoy university as much as I did.”
For her part, KC studied in the American University of Paris, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in
in International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theatre Arts back in 2007.
Ending her statement, KC assured Frankie that no matter how hard things get, she will always be there for her “as your big sis”.
She said, “There will be ups, downs and figuring things out in between and that’s all perfectly fine plus I’m right here if and when you need me as ur big sis. Let’s take on NEW YOOOORK! You can do it!”
Currently, KC is already on her flight back to Manila, while the Pangilinan family is still in New York to savor their free time with Frankie.
