After leading the It’s Showtime All Stars team for the first time in this year’s All Star Games, Vice Ganda said he was happy with the outcome of the entire event even if they did not get to bring home the championship trophy. The team captain only joined the game in the last two minutes of the fourth quarter before their double overtime. “Eh yun naman ang gusto nila yung manggulo ako sa loob. Yun lang ang purpose ko tonight, manggulo lang ng laro. Pero ang saya. Parang nagbibigayan lang naman sila. Lahat alalay na alalay sa galaw kasi ayaw nilang may masaktan. Siyempre nakakatuwa silang panuorin,” he shared.

Fans also went wild every time Vice showed support for Ion Perez, at one point even holding hands with him inside the court. The popular comedian explained the public displays of affections. “It’s for the fans. Happy sila pag ginagawa yun. Ang lakas maka K-drama (laughs). Proud ako for everyone kaya ang sarap panuorin kasi nakakatuwa. Happy naman ako for everyone. Everyone enjoyed so much kaya sobra akong happy. First time ko rin siyang napanuod pero kinukuwento sa akin nila Vhong (Navarro) na magaling nga kasi naglalaro sila regularly. Pinagmamalaki nila na magaling nga siya. Ang saya. Si Ryan (Bang) din nakaka-shoot nakakatuwa,” he said.

Vice also got to share some court antics after playing against Daniel Padilla who played for the Star Magic Warriors. “Pinapalayas niya kasi ako sa court. Sabi niya, ‘Huwag ka na sumali, guguluhin mo pa kami,’ sabi niya ganun. Sabi ko, ‘Sandali lang naman maglalaro ako.’ Tapos si Gerald (Anderson) naman sabi niya, ‘Foul-in mo ako,’ sabi ko, ‘Paano?’ Sabi niya, ‘Basta yakapin mo ako.’ Nakakatuwa lang,” he explained.

All in all, Vice said the All Star Games 2019 was a success and shared his interest to be part of the volleyball event instead. “Mas gusto ko na lang manuod. Next time gusto ko sumali sa volleyball. Paglalaruin sana ako ni Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) dun sa one of the teams kaya lang kailangan ng isang bakla sa kabilang team pero wala silang makuha. Eh sila Negi wala rin raw out of the country. Kaya next year. Achieve na achieve itong event na ito. Sobrang saya ng audience at yun naman ang pinakamahalaga,” he said.
