Star Magic Games volleyball team captain Kim Chiu shares her message for fans attending the games on August 25.
As team captain of one of the volleyball teams participating in the Star Magic Games happening on August 25, Kim Chiu admitted she is both nervous and excited at the same time for the much-awaited event. “Na-stress na naman ako naalala ko na naman. Siyempre una stress kasi una hindi naman ako mega todo player at sa Araneta Coliseum pa gagawin. Katapat namin Team Julia so parang nervous kasi Julia (Barretto) varsity na siya before so ako dun lang sa mababang paaralan sa Cebu city (laughs). Yun lang yung lakas na maibibigay ko so sana maging okay yung game. Pero meron naman kaming dalawang UAAP players na kasali so tig-dadalawa kami,” she Said during her Nature’s Way Aloe Vera System presscon last week.
Now that she is also into doing marathons, the Love Thy Woman star said she loves doing workouts two to three times a day. For the upcoming game, Kim said that she will be competitive but she also wants to have fun at the same time. “Wala namang lumalaban na ayaw manalo. Siyempre gusto namin manalo pero siyempre gusto namin fun at the same time. So let’s see next Sunday. Siyempre ipupusod ko yung hair, baka may tamaan ang hair ko. Baka ito ipang-palo ko ng bola (laughs),” she said.
With different fan clubs attending to show support for their favorite idols, Kim has one message for those who will be cheering from the stands. “Let’s all have fun on the 25th kasi minsan lang mangyari ito. Like sa volleyball first time mangyari na maglaro kami sa Araneta. So ang laro kasi namin Star Magic Games sa mga gym gym court court lang. Ito ang laking event. Usually basketball lang ang naglalaro but this time sinali na kami so sobrang nakakakaba but sana with prayers and strength may mangyari sa amin. Bawal mag-boo. Dapat lahat happy lang lahat. Dapat fun and games, yun yung nasa isip nila pag pumasok sila ng Araneta,” she shared.
The new Nature’s Way endorser said now that the games have become open to the public, she said it will be worth buying the tickets for to see them play sports live. “Sobrang mabubusog sila pag manuod sila kasi may basketball and may volleyball. So it’s a day of sports and fun. Masaya. Iba siya. Pag pinanuod nila, hindi kami nag-a-acting, hindi kami kumakanta or sumasayaw kundi naglalaro kami just like all of them so we’re all having fun with the game,” she added.
