Kakai Bautista warns ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ moviegoers against copyright violations

As much as Kakai Bautista appreciates all the love Hello, Love, Goodbye is getting on social media, she also wants moviegoers to stop violating copyright laws.

Last Thursday, August 1, Kakai thanked everyone who took a moment to give their reactions about the film on social media.

But at the same time, she also asked them to stop sharing screenshots or clips of the films online.

"Thank you po sa mga tags nyo sa amin about #HelloLoveGoodbye

pero nakikiusap po kame na wag po tayong mag-post ng videos, photos ng film habang nanunuod," she wrote.

"Diba nga po may advisory naman sa mga sinehan? BAWAL po yun eh," she wrote, referring to a visual reminder of the Anti-Camcording Act of 2010, which gets played before every screening of the film.

The 40-year-old comedy actress, who plays Joy's best friend Sally in the film, also shared a photo indicating where netizens could report sightings of copyright violators.

Those who wish to report copyright infringements can send them to [email protected] and [email protected]

According to Republic Act 10088, "a person who will be found guilty of violating the provisions of Section 3 shall be subject to a fine of Fifty thousand pesos (Php50,000.00) but not exceeding Seven hundred fifty thousand pesos (Php750,000.00) and imprisonment of six (6) months and one (1) day to six (6) years and one (1) day.

Meanwhile, the Star Cinema-produced film continues to prove its success in the box office as it just earned 66.3 million pesos in two days.

Hello, Love, Goodbye follows the love story of OFWs, Ethan and Joy, who meet in Hong Kong.
