The biggest and brightest Kapamilya stars are set to gather anew in the highly anticipated ABS-CBN Ball 2019 – and for a good cause. After last year’s successful reopening of the Bantay Bata Children’s Village, the annual charity gala seeks to continue its commitment to Bantay Bata 163 by dedicating the event to its Education Program – laying the foundation to help the children reach their dreams. In line with this cause, we listed down inspiring Kapamilya celebrities who value getting a good education.
TNT BOYS
In late of March, Filipino boy group TNT Boys, otherwise known as The Big Shot Trio, finished the school year with flying colors as students of Catholic Filipino Academy. During their 13th Commencement Exercises, all three received recognition for excelling in their respective areas of strength - Kiefer Sanchez, 14, graduated with a Certificate of Excellence in English; Mackie Empuerto, 13, in Mathematics; and Francis Concepcion, 12,
Former Pinoy Big Brother twin housemates Joj and Jai Agpangan graduated from the University of the Philippines-Open University with a degree in Education back in October 2018.
Another proud iskolar ng bayan is Pinoy Big Brother alumna Myrtle Sarrosa, who finished her studies at the University of the Philippines-Diliman with Latin honors in June 2017. She graduated as cum laude with a degree in Broadcast Communications.
In 2015, child star-turned-actress and vlogger Kristel Fulgar also finished her studies in the same school, where she took up a course in Mass Communications.
After graduating with a degree in Family Life and Child Development in 2016, singer Tippy Dos Santos announced last February that she’s back in school – this time, to take up a Law degree at the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Sino Ang May Sala?: Mea Culpa star Jodi Sta. Maria is down to her last semester in college. The 37-year-old star is currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Southville International School and Colleges. An achiever both on and off-screen, she finished the first semester of the previous academic year with a GPA of 3.818, making her eligible for the Dean’s List.
