‘Just a Stranger’ star Marco Gumabao admits he doesn’t mind dating an older woman.
With Just a Stranger hitting cinemas on August 21, Marco Gumabao said he felt lucky that his biggest movie role also paired him with a major league leading lady in the person of Anne Curtis. “Working with Anne was amazing. She’s super nice. It’s my second time to do a movie with her and mas naging close kami. We have a good working relationship and everything was so fun,” he shared during the iFlix X Viva press launch held in Taguig City.
The movie features an unexpected romance between a younger man and an older girl which Marco said required him to show his more playful side. “Oh this is very different from my previous roles. I’m going to be younger than my usual age here so mas childish ako, mas immature ako dito so it’s very different from my role in Los Bastardos, he’s the total opposite,” he explained.
Production wrapped up for the film earlier this year after they shot on location in Europe which was the first time for Marco to be there. “Nag-shoot kami sa Portugal last April. The movie’s done and I can’t wait for everyone to see it. Ang saya. I loved it. It was more than what I expected. Ang ganda ng Portugal. The scenery was super ganda, everything looked romantic, pang-date,” he said.
In real life, Marco said he would be open to dating an older woman to a certain degree. “Basta not super old. Hindi siguro tataas ng 10 years or baka five years hindi yun tataas. Well for me kasi love doesn’t come with age so as long as you fall in love with someone, no matter what the age is, for me okay lang yun,” he explained. The Viva artist also said fans can expect him to show his sexy side in the film as well, “Abangan (laughs). Okay lang naman (to show skin) as long as I trust the people I’m working with. Okay lang I’m comfortable naman with people.”
